Balanchine may be dead—but there is KEN PRESCOTT!

KEN PRESCOTT has directed and choreographed from BROADWAY,  to BRANSON  to BRAZIL! He was nominated for a CARBONNELL AWARD for his production of “ON YOUR TOES” and won 3 DESERT THEATRE LEAGUE AWARDS for “A SALUTE TO THE TROOPS”!  He has  Directed and Choreographed every kind of book musical, musical revue and special event from “SINGIN’ IN THE RAIN”, and “CRAZY FOR YOU” to “FIDDLER ON THE ROOF” and a Syracuse Symphony Tribute with the incomparable PETER DUCHIN ORCHESTRA!  He has directed and choreographed such shows as “CRAZY FOR YOU”, “LA CAGE AUX FOLLES”, “OLD FACES OF 2002” (with Peter Marshall, Kaye Ballard, Bill Dana, Tom Poston, Artie Johnson), “GEORGE M!”, “THE BOYFRIEND”, “PAL JOEY”, “WEST SIDE STORY”, “ANNIE WARBUCKS”, “JESUS CHIRST, SUPER STAR”, “A DAY IN HOLLYWOOD . . . A NIGHT IN THE UKRAINE”, “CURLY MCDIMPLE” (with Margaret O’Brien), and on and on and on and ON!  He choreographed “THE LAWRENCE WELK SHOW” in BRANSON, MO. And also a number for “THE ANDY WILLIAMS SHOW” also in BRANSON, MO.

As a creator, he conceived a show called “LULLABY OF BROADWAY” starring the late Johnny Desmond, which featured the music of Harry Warren.  He also wrote, directed, starred and choreographed a Big Band show called “BIG BAND AT THE SAVOY” with the “New” Jimmy Dorsey Orchestra.  He was also a creator of “A SALUTE TO THE TROOPS” which garnered 3 Desert Theatre League Awards as Best Show, Best Director and Best Leading man.  He and partner Pat Lotito co –authored a musical version of “A CHRISTMAS CAROL” called “A DICKENS OF A CHRISTMAS”,  which has been lauded around the country, and was nominated as BEST NEW MUSICAL OF THE YEAR!
